My parents are not very good with technology. They had never even owned a computer until we got them one this past Christmas. My mother opened the box and said, “Now what would I ever do with a computer? You know I don’t know how to work those things.” It has been my goal to teach my parents the basic functions of the computer so she can look online and email me and my sisters when they want to. My husband went to http://get.wildblue.com and found out that my parents could get satellite internet in their area. They had it installed yesterday and my dad has already called me three times about different things that he found online. He said he is going to get rid of his newspaper subscription because he is going to start reading the news online. I knew that once my parents got a computer and the internet that they would really enjoy it. I just hope my mom will use it as much as my dad does. I think that she is a little anxious about trying something new. I know that she will get the hang of it soon.

After years of working for the same company, I decided I needed a change. Since the company I worked for was not willing to promote me, I decided to move jobs. After looking around at different jobs, I quickly discovered that moving jobs was also going to mean moving cities. I was going to need a new place. I was starting to have second thoughts about this decision. Why was I doing this? Did I really want to move? After thinking about it for a few days, I decided I needed to go for it. I was lucky and found an apartment on the first day. I was able to move in the next week. My cable was hooked up and I was able to get a great rate from one of the Electric companies. I found a job the following week and I start soon. After fearing the move and all the changes, I am so thankful I decided to move. So far this city has so much more to offer and I am already ten times happier than I was. Things are starting to go my way.

Texas is a great state but when my husband told me we had to move there for his new job I can’t say I was exactly thrilled. I really liked the home we’d made in California and I was dreading the inevitable change that would come from moving halfway across the country. Turns out I really like it here, though, so it wasn’t the worst thing afterall like I imagined it would be! When we first got here I went to texasElectricityProviders.Com to get us electricity and I had to work hard to find a decorator that didn’t want to put animal heads all over the house but once those things were out of the way it’s been pretty smooth sailing. My husband loves his new job and the kids are really liking school so I think everyone’s going to enjoy being here, even if the move itself isn’t a permanent one. We have a longstanding family tradition to travel to our favorite winter travel destination, Mammoth Mountain in California. We are always very excited to embark on this annual winter trip with our family and friends. After we set our home security alarm from www.SecurityChoice.com we depart in a caravan with five cars and we usually stop for lunch midway to the mountain.

Mammoth Mountain is great because of the family oriented atmosphere and quaint shops and restaurants. There are so many activities we love to enjoy while in Mammoth such as dog sledding, ice skating and of course skiing the gorgeous powdery slopes. The ski school for children in Mammoth is incredible. Our daughters picked up in one day what took my husband and I weeks to learn. The instructors are well trained and great with teaching kids.

What we love most about Mammoth is the village where all of the great restaurants and hotels are located. Most of these hotels offer ski in and ski out accessibility. The cross country skiing here is great and there are so many wonderful points that you can experience the incredible view in Mammoth. The mountain attracts a very laid back crowd of people. Most travel from Southern California because it is the best ski resort and within a 6 hour drive from most places. This is our favorite destination.

One of the reasons that buying scrubs online might be a better option is because of the range of items available.  Not just in styles, but in colors, prints, and even in sizes.  Physical shops can only keep a certain amount of inventory on hand, but online shops can offer an unlimited supply of scrubs for men and women in all shapes and sizes.

Though it’s not impossible to find just the right medical scrub uniforms in a local specialty shop, buying online can help ensure that customers get exactly what they want, when they want it.  And not just uniforms either, but items such as surgical caps and lab coats.  If it can be worn by a medical professional, it can be purchased online.

Night Owl Reviews is a great little site that is chalk full of great book reviews.  But more than that, they publish a free digital book magazine.  This PDF zine comes complete with book titles, author interviews, upcoming titles and publishing companies, plus a lot more.  If it’s got something to do with the latest in written entertainment, you can probably find it here.

I personally love all the new paranormal books coming out, but I also like a good mystery.  Here I can find both, and maybe even both rolled up into the same book.  Whatever you’re looking for, whichever genre, this is a great place to start.

So what does this have to do with anything? Well it seems that there are a lot of people out there who have no idea what to do or where to go when their cars start to fall apart. This isn’t just a “woman” thing either. There are a lot of guys out there who can’t even change a spark plug, let along swap out a motor. And that’s where the folks at RepairPal.com come in. You tell them what’s wrong with your car, they tell you what it’s going to take to fix it and what it’s going to cost, and you take your car to one of their shops to get repairs. It’s just that easy.

The cool thing is that you don’t have to drive a Chevy to hook up with this crowd. They know about all makes and models of autos, both foreign and domestic. If it’s got wheels, they can probably help you with your problem. And if they can’t, they’ll know where to go for all the right answers. So if you happen to be one of those people who can’t even change a tire, know that you have a pal out there that can do it for you.

I’ve done more reading since getting it than I’ve done in the past 20 years. But my thing is that I can’t exactly afford to buy e-books—or regular books for that matter—and I’m always on the lookout for freebies.

One of my all time favorite e-book sites is Ereader News Today. They make it easy to find all the free Kindle books you could ever hope to read, and surprisingly, they don’t all come from Amazon.com. There are hundreds of sites out there that publish e-books in the .mobi format that Kindles are designed to use.

The nice thing about this site is that they not only have a very nice little blog that they keep updated on a regular basis, they also have a Facebook page where they can let their readers know about new books at a moment’s notice. No matter what I’m doing, I always know when a new free Kindle book is ready to be downloaded.

What’s really cool is that they seem to find Kindle books that are only free for a short amount of time, as well as those that are free for life. Every once in a while an author wants to get their book out to the public, but need a little push. So, they let it be given away free for a little while, then let those who’ve read the book do all the public relations for them. If it’s a good book, it won’t take long for the buzz to get going around about it.

Okay, so now you’re thinking that this article kind of sucks because you can’t afford a new Kindle right now and you can’t download any of those books anyway. WRONG!!!!! Did you know that you can download the Kindle reader into your PC for FREE!!!!! Yep, as long as you have an Amazon.com account, you can download the reader to your home computer for free. You can also download the reader to your iPhone and/or Blackberry.

Hey, why pay a ton of money for a bunch of books that are only going to get deleted or stashed away once they’re read. Go check out Ereader News Today and see how many titles tickle your fancy. We might live in the age of technology, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take the time to enjoy a good book.

Truth be told, I almost gave this site up.  Then it dawned on me that this blog has a lot of potential, maybe more so than any of the other sites I hold.  So, I’ve decided to put this site to good use—-well to use anyway.  The future is only as bright or dark as we allow it to be, and though I’ve gone with a dark theme, I see only bright things for this little blog’s future.

For anyone who collects the apple decor, then you’ve got to check out this gorgeous Painted Apple Lamp.  Standing right at 12″ tall (that’s 1 foot in height), this lamp will add a touch of class to any room.  The top of the lamp is frosted glass with delicate apples and leaves painted on the outside.  The base of the lamp is molded brass, with a felt covering at the bottom.

The cord on this lamp has the on/off switch built in.  It is recommended that you use a 15 watt bulb inside, which is similar to the type used in older Christmas tree lights.  You can still purchase this style where ever you can find chandelier bulbs.  Though this lamp is used, it is still in excellent condition.  There are no chips in the glass top, and it still works great.
